Prop H8 Upheld: Sound Off

Minutes ago the California Supreme Court announced its decision to uphold Proposition 8 passed by Californians last year. The ruling effectively bans same-sex marriages in the state. The small caveat in the decision, however, does not roll back and nullify existing same-sex marriage licenses already valid in California in the time that they were legal. Is the ruling discriminatory? Is this a sad day for civil rights? Is the compromise pathetic or a silverlining? Or are you a Carrie Prejean fan who is happy that the ban on such marriages has been upheld in court? Gustavo Arellano of the Four O’Clock Report will be taking calls today on this very issue on KPFK – Los Angeles (90.7 FM / kpfk.org) but in the meantime, share your thoughts here…
