A Christmas Story

Last night, the California Coalition for Immigration Reform expanded the range of their hate by hosting an event at the Garden Grove Women’s  Club  “Eyewitness Report – The Deadly Threat of Islam to America.” I joined with a modest crowd of demonstrators – mostly of the base collective – and a few Muslims in denouncing the seminar of ignorance held by the CCIR in conjunction with the terrible Act! for America organization. Among the featured speakers on their bill were ‘experts’ like  “Christmas” Atanous – an Iranian Christian who now resides in the U.S. spreading the anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant hate!

As the OC Weekly’s Navel Gazing blog noted, Christmas gave her story to the audience, stating that:

“Since 9/11, there are more Muslims in this country and Europe. And why is that? Have you asked yourself why? These are the same people who hate Westerners. These are the same people who hate our culture. These are the same people who hate our churches, our synagogues.”

And the media has brainwashed everyone, little by little, and you don’t even know what you’re doing or why you’re being brainwashed. The political correctness and being tolerant is our worst enemy.”

“We have to rise. We have to speak out. And most importantly, we have to be fearless.” Her voice booms as she points towards the wall. “I am NOT afraid of those people out there!”

It’s nice to know that the protesters outside got a shot-out from Christmas inside! Had I only known, I may have felt all warm and fuzzy inside – which would have been a blessing given the chillingly cold winds last night.

Now stay tuned to Navel Gazing for more on the story as they rap the beat on CCIR better than anyone…
