Iraqi Journalist to Bush: Eat Hot Shoe!

{Bush: Oh, Shoe Me!}

It’s absolutely obligatory. I would stand in utter amazement if this blog posting were to be the first you have heard of the now famous shoe toss Bush survived in Baghdad yesterday. With that probably not the case, I still have to say something! This incident is just too good to allow for donpalabraz.com to let it pass without comment!

To hell with all the rhetoric that says the flight of the shoes thrown at President Bush by a 28 year-old Iraqi journalist is proof that the country embraces “democracy” bestowed upon them by the United States. Muntadhar al-Zeidi, the world’s most famous shoe man – now reportedly eclipsing Al Bundy – acted in a form of everyday resistance against the powerful and as such resonated with popular anger across the Arab world that holds Bush and his regional collaborators in contempt! Viva la shoe!
